Joe graduated from Bristol Medical School in 2018, subsequently working in Liverpool during his foundation years and in North-West London for Internal Medicine Training. He is currently a respiratory specialist trainee in the South London deanery.

 

Joe joined the lab in October 2025. He is undertaking a PhD under the supervision of Dr Aran Singanayagam and Dr Anand Shah, studying host immune dysregulation in virus-positive bronchiectasis exacerbation.

 

He is directing 'PRIVILEGE', a natural cohort study of Bronchiectasis which utilises remote sampling methods to investigate viral exacerbations of the disease and the host immune response.
