Clinical PhD Fellow

Rose Nixon is a clinical research fellow. Rose's research focuses on chronic lung diseases including COPD and bronchiectasis and uses immunological and microbiological approaches to investigate the impact that airway commensals have upon immune tone and susceptibility to infection in these predisposed individuals. She is leading a study using bronchoscopic sampling to gain deep lower respiratory tract samples from patients alongside development of an exacerbation cohort to study 'real world' infections in these individuals.
